「我們相遇，就好像她就在那裡等著我，等了整整八十三年。」為了尋找忘卻的家庭記憶，舞蹈家文慧拍攝父親家族裡僅存健在的三奶奶。蘇美玲，她是父親從未提起過的三嬸，在雲南省易門縣大河邊村子裡，三奶奶開始講述她的故事——十四歲生下第一胎、二十歲丈夫出軌離婚、二十二歲經歷土地改革……文慧的身影介入、模仿，將上世紀不真實的記憶拉回舞台。兩個女人的對望，直盯大敘事史裂縫，悠悠輪轉如煙往事，與將之遺忘的荒謬。

“When I met her it was as if she had been waiting her whole life for me to come. Waiting for eighty-three years.” In order to search for her family’s long-lost memories, director WEN Hui found her third grandmother, the only one of her grandparent’s generation still living. SU Meiling, her father’s aunt, whom neither her father nor her family ever mentioned about. In a small village in the mountains of Yunnan, third grandmother began to tell her life story. This is a story about how China’s great changes changed one woman’s life.
