愛唱歌的柬埔寨男孩榮才15歲，卻必須接受他終生都將受砷毒害的命運；他想談戀愛、成為卡拉OK歌手，這些願望卻因為他的病痛變得遙不可及。社福團體決定幫他圓夢，邀請他擔任音樂錄影帶的演員，錄製歌曲向村民宣導如何避免砷中毒。本片為《扣押幸福》導演辛西亞．韋德又一前進日舞影展之作，長期在作品中展現人文關懷的她這次前往東南亞，記錄下飲用水汙染對當地居民健康的危害，以及一個男孩的小小心願。
Vinh is just fifteen years old, but has already accepted his destiny—to be sick for the rest of his life with incurable arsenic poisoning. He longs to fall in love and dreams about becoming a karaoke star. An unexpected chance to star in a video allows Vinh to question whether he truly knows his destiny. Selected in Sundance Film Festival, Freeheld director, Cynthia Wade, depicts her concerns in the documentary about the water pollution in the South East.

不想目睹從濃密到稀落那令人頹喪的凋零過程，剃髮成了接受化療女性癌友必經的儀式，看著鏡中的自己從不甘、不願、不捨，到說服、面對、接受，其中的百轉千迴是罹癌心路歷程的縮影。紐約長島的一間美髮沙龍在每個月第三個禮拜一為女性癌友提供特別服務，幫她們從外而內重建亮麗與自信。在這癌友們彼此認識傾聽、相互扶持的空間，我們得以瞥見頭髮複雜而深刻的文化意義如何地攸關生死。全片感人肺腑，是辛希亞．韋德再度問鼎奧斯卡金像獎的最新力作。
Shaving becomes a necessary ritual for female cancer patients to avoid witnessing the dense-to-sparse phases. Cynthia and Rachel open up their hair salon, called Racine, and offer free beauty services for women undergoing chemotherapy. They are determined to give these women a sense of normalcy and dignity in a traumatic time. The story of what hair means in our culture quickly unfolds into an unexpected look at womanhood. The film is nominated for the 2013 Academy Awards.
