這是兩位女性為愛奮鬥的真實故事，也是首部由柬埔寨製作為女同志社群發聲的紀錄片。歷經30年內戰與種族滅絕後，紅色高棉政府統治之下的柬埔寨極度貧窮保守。即使同志性行為已部分合法，傳統社會也逐漸包容，同志相關之權益法案仍不被政府重視。蘇雲和舜陽從紅色高棉政權存活下來，她們領養了幾個姪女外甥，共同對抗著社會的污名與不善，並為合法婚姻持續奮鬥著。導演因本片成為首位受邀至柏林影展的柬埔寨籍導演。
Two Girls Against the Rain is the first locally produced documentary in Cambodia, which gives a voice to members of the lesbian community. A true story about Soth Yun and Sem Eang who met and fell in love during the genocidal Khmer Rouge regime. Today they live together and there has been a long fight against stigmatization by fellow villagers and their family. And the fight continues—now for the right to marry legally.
