人們會怎麼樣描述過去的故事？一個家庭的破碎，會產生多少創傷與痛苦？21年後，四位成員重新回憶家變的那一刻，試圖理解哪個環節出了差錯？母親太早進入婚姻，無法實現自我；而父親忙於工作無法兼顧家庭，兩人疏於溝通，以致於所有情緒都在父親外調阿富汗時爆發；孩子回想分離的那天，懵懂心靈尚未了解這強烈的悲傷。聲軌由演員重述訪談內容，影像則亦由他人演出。音畫分離的處理是創意，更凸顯了這些悲歡離合是普世的經驗。

How do we choose to tell the stories from our past?It was a family break-up like many others—but traumatic and sad for those involved. Twenty years later the family of four recounts their memories. How were things really? Why did it go wrong? Have their memories changed with time?Using their narration as a soundtrack, the film reconstructs the visual imagery and tries to capture the past through the lens of the present.
