在印度中部的貧民窟裡，18歲的芮莎和媽媽及三個妹妹住在一起。她和13歲的聾啞妹妹感情極好，卻無意間發現妹妹被母親透過熟識的阿姨安排以「臨時婚姻」的方式出嫁，對象是一名年邁的富商。知道事有蹊蹺的芮莎不顧男友反對，決定用自己的方式捨身救妹。

Raisa lives with her mother and three younger sisters in Hyderabad's Old City in India. When she finds out that her mother promises her 13-year old daughter, Zainab, in a marriage to a foreign businessman, Raisa decides to save her little sister at any cost.
