女孩艾妲跟著母親和其男友米黑爾同住，母親對待聰穎伶俐的她如同朋友，卻也不失寵愛。青春少女的年紀，加上母親從不避諱展示與男友之間的親密，讓艾妲對於愛與性開始感到好奇，與此同時，她遇見男孩艾倫，兩人在外型、穿著都有著驚人的相似之處。艾妲帶著似乎無家可歸的艾倫與家人同住，原本關係就有些微妙的三人家庭，在第四人闖入之後產生化學變化。米黑爾失業在家，與男孩、女孩在無事的午後玩著自創的遊戲，有意無意裡，米黑爾言語曖昧挑動慾望神經，母親也隱約感到不尋常的氣息而開始緊張、易怒。夜半時分，耳邊私語將劃破名為道德的模糊界線。

Adar, a 12 year-old boyish girl with fervent imagination, lives with her workaholic mother, Alma, a doctor, and her stepfather, Michael, an attractive artist who works from home. Adar’s loneliness finds an outlet when Alan, a beautiful and delicate being. Alan’s arrival is cause for celebration and presents an opportunity for change for the whole family. But now, Adar obsessively observes the relationship that develops between Alan and Michael. Every nuance, every gesture, is a sign for her.
