北京酷兒影展緣起於北大一場由青年學生、知識份子和獨立酷兒影人發起的影像運動，它是中國持續舉辦最久的民間電影活動，也是唯一持續透過電影放映、交流活動來展開性／別身份探討的主題影展。十年來在不友善的社會政治環境下歷經諸多波折，迫於官方干預，從北京城西搬到城東，從城市搬到鄉村，2011年第五屆影展又回到城市，以游擊戰的方式成功舉辦。本片收集多年來的現場影像、圖片資料，娓娓道來影展背後的故事。

This is the story of the 10-year “guerrilla warfare” of Beijing Queer Film Festival. Originated from Peking University, the festival is considered the only community-based non-governmental film festival with a special focus on gender and sexuality in China. With China’s strict media censorship, the festival venue has shifted from the western suburb of the city, from the city to the countryside. With the footages recorded and collected by each year’s organization committee, the film tells the struggles of the festival and of the team behind it.
