艾拉為了讓在波蘭的女兒接受良好教育，隻身前往德國打工。但長年工作後，艾拉因病痛而工作常出錯；她無錢保險、無法就醫，而老闆只在乎工作效率。艾拉面臨被解雇、遣送回國的命運。因此，她做出了驚人的決定……。第一世界中有許多非法移工在血汗工廠打工，即使被雇主剝削，也因為迫於情境而無法反抗。導演將其困境濃縮於短片中，令人信服。

Ella is a Polish immigrant worker, who works in Germany to finance the academic studies of her daughter in Poland. Because of a disease, her employment appears to be endangered. When her daughter decides to come to Germany, probably facing the same fate as her mother, Ella decides to press a dismissal wage from her employer.
