劉真的丈夫小平深夜被抓，失蹤三十多天；她不知道原因、也不知丈夫下落；面對種種困難，她看似保持著正常生活，實際上，心中的緊張焦慮投射到孩子身上，壓力日漸升高。劉真到處打聽、找人幫忙：丈夫的朋友、律師、同學、合作夥伴等。人們各自猜測丈夫被抓的原因，如同羅生門一般。劉真的前追求者呂新特地前來協助，想辦法打通關係。一次出錯的交易，讓劉真大為反感，拒絕再接受呂新繼續幫忙。最終，在簽訂一份保密協議之後，小平終於回家了。

Zhen’s husband, Xiaoping, was arrested and has been missing for over thirty days. Appearing to be leading a normal life, Zhen projects her anxiety onto her daughter. Everyone comes to help and ventures to guess the reason for Xiaoping’s arrest, including Zhen's former suitor, Xin. However, Zhen refuses Xin’s help because of an erroneous deal that goes wrong. Finally, Xiaoping returns home, though his return has little to do with everyone's efforts to help him.
