在嘉義山裡長大的裝置藝術家王文志，將從小在山林間的記憶帶進作品裡，其深沉靜謐的力量，往往使進入作品的人大為驚喜與震撼，在當代藝術中，展現出獨特的視野與風格，2001年更代表台灣參加威尼斯雙年展。本片跟隨王文志的腳步，進入深山採藤、採竹子，如原始編織巢穴般的創作過程，體現出王文志對生命的哲思、與對土地山林的熱情，無論作品與本人，都像是從山裡走出的靈魂。本片與《樹人 Treeman》同場放映。

Wen-Chih Wang shows a unique artistic character in contemporary art. His creative energy comes endlessly from where he was born, the mountains of Chiayi County. He uses the oriental material, such as bamboo and rattan to express the power and image of Asian culture. The film gives a complete overview of Wang’s works, and shows the artist’s belief and philosophy in creating arts.
