阿金滿懷期待地踏上異地之旅，來到波士尼亞的小鎮維舍格勒，依照旅遊指南上羅列的景點與路線，住進一間由作者所推薦的飯店。街頭藝人的歡愉表演、優美的湖光山色…阿金盡情享受眼前的美好，直到她發現一座古橋，促使她一頭栽進小鎮不為人知的歷史傷痕。深埋的秘密將她捲進一連串出乎意料的突發事件。於是，阿金決定聯繫作者，了解真相。她選擇從旅程的路上，走進一段人們刻意遺忘的過去。

本片由飾演阿金的演員金．維珂參與編劇，以其親身經歷改編而成。

Kym, an Australian tourist, decides to travel to Bosnia. Her guidebook leads her to Višegrad, a small town steeped in history, on the border of Bosnia and Serbia. After a night of insomnia in the “romantic” Hotel VilinaVlas, Kym discovers what happened there during the war. She can no longer be an ordinary tourist and her life will never be the same again.
